Gokudo is an experience on Roblox. This page describes what the experience and its supporting services store about you, why, and for how long. It is written to be read rather than to be exhaustive, and it describes what the systems actually do.
What we store
Everything below is tied to your Roblox user ID — the number in your Roblox profile URL. We do not ask for or store your email address, your real name, your address, your phone number, or any payment details. Roblox handles purchases; we never see a card.
- Your Roblox identity. User ID, username and display name, as Roblox provides them to the experience.
- Your progress. Your character: stats, appearance and outfits, in-game currency, family membership, items, settings and anything else the game remembers between sessions.
- Moderation records. If a moderator acts on your account — a kick, mute or ban — we store that action, who took it, when, and the reason given.
- A staff action log. Actions taken by staff inside the experience and in our staff dashboard, including who acted, on whom, and what they did. This exists so staff decisions can be reviewed.
- Server diagnostics. Performance samples from game servers — frame times, memory, player counts, server identifiers. These describe servers, not people.
- An account pairing, if you choose one. If you link your character to our Discord community, we store the pairing: your Roblox user ID alongside your Discord user ID. That is the whole record — we do not read your messages, and we store nothing else from Discord. You can ask for a pairing to be removed.
Why we store it
Your progress exists so the game can be a game — a character that forgets everything each session is not one. Moderation records and the staff action log exist so the experience can be moderated and so those decisions can be checked afterwards. Server diagnostics exist so we can find out why a server was slow.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you for anything outside the experience.
Where it lives
Your progress is stored in Roblox’s own data stores and in a MongoDB database we operate. The services that hold or process it are:
- Roblox — the platform the experience runs on, and the source of your identity. Roblox’s own privacy policy covers your Roblox account.
- MongoDB Atlas — the database holding your progress.
- Railway — where our backend service runs.
- Netlify — where this website is hosted.
- Discord — only if you choose to pair your account, and only the pairing described above.
How long we keep it
Your progress is kept while your account exists, because that is the point of it. We also keep a history of previous versions of your save — the last twenty saves, plus one per day for thirty days — so that progress lost to a bug or a mistake can be restored. Older versions are deleted automatically.
Moderation records and the staff action log are kept so that decisions remain reviewable. Server diagnostics are kept for a short period and are not tied to individual players.
Players under 13
Roblox is used by children, and Gokudo is played by them. We collect no more from a younger player than from anyone else, and in particular we never collect contact details, real names or location from anybody. The account pairing described above requires a Discord account, and Discord sets its own minimum age — if you are not old enough for Discord, do not pair an account.
Your choices
- You can ask what we hold. Contact us with your Roblox username and we will tell you.
- You can ask us to delete it. We will delete your progress and any account pairing. We will keep moderation records where deleting them would mean a ban could be evaded by asking for deletion.
- You can unpair an account at any time without losing progress.
